Time Has Stopped

Things that feel slower than today.

I know the longest day of the year is the summer solstice, but during an election year, it’s Election Day. Time has stopped and will continue to drag until this election is officially over. So until the results start coming in, here’s a list of things that feel slower than the hours passing today:

- My son getting ready for school

- My father getting ready for dinner

- A microwave minute

- A treadmill minute

- The time in between when the nurse leaves the doctor’s office and the doctor finally comes in

- Any amount of time spent on an airplane or in an airport

- A sloth moving

- My sister perusing the toddler boy section at Target

- The period between the trailers and the start of the movie

- The time it takes your hair to air dry

- The duration of a man's shower

- The hour between dinner and your kid’s bedtime

- The baking time for a cake

- An episode of Blaze and the Monster Machine

- The time it takes to read an article in The New Yorker

- The length of a quarter in a football game
