Can't help you bc I have the worst time management skills (actually maybe I CAN help you?!) but I truly admire your type A vibes and aspire to be even a fraction as considerate as you are!

Can't solve the early or late person thing, because that's not solveable because there is no middle ground/ u are either one or the other (I am the late one trying hard to be the middle but ...) . Anyway... THIS is my favorite part of this : <We saw you left this.” I evaporated into a fine mist of shame. I got the job, though.>-

I try so hard but am always always late. The way is this: overestimate how much you can get done in the time before you leave and out your kid "in charge" of one age appropriate thing that MUST be done before leaving (like eating or brushing teeth). You'll be screaming at him to hurry up before you know it

This is so foreign to me. I am always late ( My friend who is a psychologist says that being late is very egotistical. 🤷🏻) I really try. I do. I often check WAZE to see how long it will take me to get to my destination AND I add 5 minutes BUT there is always something to do as I head out of my house. That one coffee mug needs to go in the dishwasher, the laundry needs to go in the dryer, I need to change my shirt bc I notice that I now have a coffee stain from putting that damn mug in the dishwasher, etc. I guess Ill keep trying 😂

I’m dying- I saw the title of this post in my substack feed and immediately thought “WOW, this person and I could not be more different” imagine my shock when I saw your name. Lucky for you, I’m competitive so I’m sure I could try to beat your arrival time when we meet up now!! Give you a lil thrill of being the “last” to arrive!

I feel seen and blame my early nature on a mother who used to make us get to church 30 minutes early so we were assured good seats. My best tip? Always have a book with you.
