According to the internet, people are no longer wearing sweaters the traditional way. Pulling it over your head to cover your torso is out. So, I wanted to offer some styling alternatives that are currently de rigueur. If you have questions about my methodology feel free to leave them in the comments.
First up is what seems to be the new classic: the over-the-shoulder look. It can be a bit tricky to keep the sweater in place, but it gives off a smart, polished vibe. To secure the sweater, you must hunch while wearing it.
Next up, I call this the Brownie sash because it reminds me of being a Girl Scout. I’m pretty sure tying my sweater like this will ruin the sleeves, but again, it’s not in style to ever put it on.
The Parisian. When in doubt, go for a little neck tie.
The head covering, which could be very useful if it rains.
The seventh grade. Back then, if you wore your sweater like this, you were considered a loser in perpetuity — but now, it’s cool.
A more unique take: the bra top. This feels very
.And finally, if you move it down a little lower, the apron. This is guaranteed to ruin your sweater.
Let me know if you need any more suggestions.
Happy styling!

Nicole
i just ran out of aprons so this is super useful thank you
How about the “only on your arms” a la shrug? Does that count as effectively ruining your sweater?
